بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي اسْالُكَ بِٱسْمِكَ
O Allah, verily I beseech You by Your Name:
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
O Lord of majesty and honor!
يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ
O Ever-living! O Self-subsistent!
يَا حَيُّ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ
O Ever-Living! There is no god but You!
يَا هُوَ يَا مَنْ لاَ يَعْلَمُ مَا هُوَ
O He Whom none knows what He is,
وَلاَ كَيْفَ هُوَ
nor how He is,
وَلاَ ايْنَ هُوَ
nor where He is,
وَلاَ حَيْثُ هُوَ إِلاَّ هُوَ
nor in what respect He is, but He!
يَا ذَا ٱلْمُلْكِ وَٱلْمَلَكُوتِ
O Possessor of dominion and kingdom!
يَا ذَا ٱلعِزَّةِ وَٱلْجَبرُوتِ
O Possessor of might and invincibility!
يَا مَلِكُ يَا قُدُّوسُ يَا سَلاَمُ
O King! O All-holy! O Giver of peace!
يَا مُؤْمِنُ يَا مُهَيْمِنُ
O Granter of security! O All-preserver!
يَا عَزِيزُ يَا جَبَّارُ يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ
O Almighty! O All-compeller! O All-sublime!
يَا خَاِلقُ يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ
O Creator! O Maker! O Shaper!
يَا مُفِيدُ يَا مُدَبِّرُ
O grantor of Benefits! O Director!
يَا شَدِيدُ يَا مُبْدِئُ
O Severe (in punishing the evildoers)! O, Originator!
يَا مُعِيدُ يَا مُبِيدُ
O Returner! O Destroyer!
يَا وَدُودُ يَا مَحْمُودُ يَا مَعْبُودُ
O All-loving! O All-praiseworthy! O All-worshipped!
يَا بَعِيدُ يَا قَرِيبُ
O Far! O Nigh!
يَا مُجِيبُ يَا رَقِيبُ يَا حَسِيبُ
O Responder! O Watcher! O Reckoner!
يَا بَدِيعُ يَا رَفِيعُ
O Innovator! O Exalter!
يَا مَنِيعُ يَا سَمِيعُ
O Inaccessible! O All-hearing!
يَا عَلِيمُ يَا حَلِيمُ يَا كَرِيمُ
O All-knowing! O All-clement! O All-generous!
يَا حَكِيمُ يَا قَدِيمُ
O All-wise! O Eternal!
يَا عَلِيُّ يَا عَظِيمُ
O All-high! O All-tremendous!
يَا حَنَّانُ يَا مَنَّانُ
O All-commiserating! O All-gracious!
يَا دَيَّانُ يَا مُسْتَعَانُ
O Condemner! O Recourse!
يَا جَلِيلُ يَا جَمِيلُ
O All-majestic! O All-handsome!
يَا وَكِيلُ يَا كَفِيلُ
O Guardian! O Surety!
يَا مُقِيلُ يَا مُنِيلُ
O Annuller! O Bestower!
يَا نَبِيلُ يَا دَلِيلُ
O All-noble! O Leader!
يَا هَادِي يَا بَادِي
O Guide! O All-Apparent!
يَا اوَّلُ يَا آخِرُ
O First! O Last!
يَا ظَاهِرُ يَا بَاطِنُ
O Outward! O Inward!
يَا قَائِمُ يَا دَائِمُ
O All-steadfast! O Everlasting!
يَا عَالِمُ يَا حَاكِمُ
O Knower! O Decider!
يَا قَاضِي يَا عَادِلُ
O Judge! O Just!
يَا فَاصِلُ يَا وَاصِلُ
O Separator! O Joiner!
يَا طَاهِرُ يَا مُطَهِّرُ
O Pure! O Purifier!
يَا قَادِرُ يَا مُقْتَدِرُ
O All-powerful! O All-able!
يَا كَبِيرُ يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ
O All-great! O All-sublime!
يَا وَاحِدُ يَا احَدُ يَا صَمَدُ
O One! O Unique! O eternally Besought of all!
يَا مَنْ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
O He Who begets not and was not begotten,
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَهُ كُفُواً احَدٌ
equal to Whom is none,
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَهُ صَاحِبَةً
Who has no consort,
وَلاَ كَانَ مَعَهُ وَزِيرٌ
with Him is no aide
وَلاَ ٱتَّخَذَ مَعَهُ مُشِيراً
nor has He taken any adviser,
وَلاَ ٱحْتَاجَ إِلَىٰ ظَهِيرٍ
nor needs He any assistant,
وَلاَ كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنَ إِلٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ
nor with Him is any god but He
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ انتَ
there is no god but You.
فَتَعَالَيْتَ عَمَّا يَقُولُ ٱلظَّالِمُونَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً
So exalted are You above what the evildoers say, a great exaltation!
يَا عَلِيُّ يَا شَامِخُ يَا بَاِذخُ
O All-high! O All-lofty! O All-towering!
يَا فَتَّاحُ يَا نَفَّاحُ يَا مُرْتَاحُ
O All-opener! O All-diffuser! O All-restful!
يَا مُفَرِّجُ يَا نَاصِرُ يَا مُنْتَصِرُ
O Bestower of relief! O, Helper! O Giver of victory!
يَا مُدْرِكُ يَا مُهْلِكُ يَا مُنْتَقِمُ
O Comprehender! O Destroyer! O Avenger!
يَا بَاعِثُ يَا وَارِثُ
O Upraiser! O Inheritor!
يَا طَاِلبُ يَا غَاِلبُ
O Seeker! O Vanquisher!
يَا مَنْ لاَ يَفُوتُهُ هَارِبٌ
O He from Whom no fugitive can escape!
يَا تَوَّابُ يَا اوَّابُ يَا وَهَّابُ
O All-relenting! O All-forbearing! O All-bestower!
يَا مُسَبِّبَ ٱلاسْبَابِ
O Originator of all means!
يَا مُفَتِّحَ ٱلابْوَابِ
O Opener of all doors!
يَا مَنْ حَيْثُ مَا دُعِي اجَابَ
O He Who answers wherever He is called upon!
يَا طَهُورُ يَا شَكُورَ
O All-Pure! O All-thankful!
يَا عَفُوُّ يَا غَفُورُ
O Exempter! O Forgiver!
يَا نُورَ ٱلنُّورِ
O Light of light!
يَا مُدَبِّرَ ٱلامُورِ
O Director of all affairs!
يَا لَطِيفُ يَا خَبِيرُ
O All-subtle! O All-aware!
يَا مُجِيرُ يَا مُنِيرُ
O Protector! O Illuminator!
يَا بَصِيرُ يَا ظَهِيرُ يَا كَبِيرُ
O All-seeing! O All-aiding! O All-great!
يَا وِتْرُ يَا فَرْدُ
O Alone! O Solitary!
يَا ابَدُ يَا سَنَدُ يَا صَمَدُ
O Eternity without end! O Support! O Everlasting Refuge!
يَا كَافِي يَا شَافِي
O All-sufficient! O All-healing!
يَا وَافِي يَا مُعَافِي
O All-fulfilling! O All-relieving!
يَا مُحْسِنُ يَا مُجْمِلُ
O All-kind! O All-gracious!
يَا مُنْعِمُ يَا مُفْضِلُ
O All-benevolent! O All-bountiful!
يَا مُتَكَرِّمُ يَا مُتَفَرِّدُ
O All-beneficent! O All-solitary!
يَا مَنْ عَلاَ فَقَهَرَ
O He Who is exalted and dominates!
يَا مَنْ مَلَكَ فَقَدَرَ
O He Who is master and exercises power!
يَا مَنْ بَطَنَ فَخَبَرَ
O He Who is inward and aware!
يَا مَنْ عُبِدَ فَشَكَرَ
O He Who is worshipped and thankful!
يَا مَنْ عُصِي فَغَفَرَ
O He Who is disobeyed and forgives!
يَا مَنْ لاَ تَحْوِيهِ ٱلْفِكَرُ
O He Who is not encompassed by thoughts,
وَلاَ يُدْرِكُهُ بَصَرٌ
nor perceived by vision,
وَلاَ يَخْفَىٰ عَلَيْهِ اثَرٌ
and from Whom no trace remains hidden!
يَا رَازِقَ ٱلْبَشَرِ
O Provider of mankind!
يَا مُقَدِّرَ كُلِّ قَدَرٍ
O Determiner of every lot!
يَا عَالِي ٱلْمَكَانِ
O Lofty in place!
يَا شَدِيدَ ٱلارْكَانِ
O Firm in supports!
يَا مُبَدِّلَ ٱلزَّمَانِ
O Transformer of times!
يَا قَابِلَ ٱلقُرْبَانِ
O Accepter of sacrifices!
يَا ذَا ٱلْمَنِّ وَٱلإِحْسَانِ
O Lord of graciousness and benevolence!
يَا ذَا ٱلْعِزَّةِ وَٱلسُّلْطَانِ
O Lord of might and force!
يَا رَحِيمُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ
O All-compassionate! O All-merciful!
يَا مَنْ هُوَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي شَانٍ
O He Who is every day upon some labor!
يَا مَنْ لاَ يَشْغَلُهُ شَانٌ عَنْ شَانٍ
O He Who is not distracted from one labor by another!
يَا عَظِيمَ ٱلشَّانِ
O Tremendous in rank!
يَا مَنْ هُوَ بِكُلِّ مَكَانٍ
O He Who is in every place!
يَا سَامِعَ ٱلاصْوَاتِ
O He Who hears all sounds!
يَا مُجِيبَ ٱلدَّعَوَاتِ
O He Who answers all supplications!
يَا مُنجِحَ ٱلطَّلِبَاتِ
O He Who fulfils all entreaties!
يَا قَاضِي ٱلْحَاجَاتِ
O He Who provides all needs!
يَا مُنْزِلَ ٱلْبَرَكَاتِ
O He Who sends down blessings!
يَا رَاحِمَ ٱلْعَبَرَاتِ
O He Who has mercy upon tears!
يَا مُقِيلَ ٱلْعَثَرَاتِ
O He Who annuls slips!
يَا كَاشِفَ ٱلْكُرُبَاتِ
O He Who removes troubles!
يَا وَلِيَّ ٱلْحَسَنَاتِ
O He Who sponsors good things!
يَا رَافِعَ ٱلدَّرَجَاتِ
O He Who exalts in rank!
يَا مُؤْتِي ٱلسُّؤْلاَتِ
O He Who bestows requests!
يَا مُحْيِي ٱلامْوَاتِ
O He Who gives life to the dead!
يَا جَامِعَ ٱلشَّتَاتِ
O He Who gathers all scattered things!
يَا مُطَّلِعاً عَلىٰ ٱلنِّيَاتِ
O He Who is aware of all intentions!
يَا رَادَّ مَا قَدْ فَاتَ
O He Who brings back what has passed away!
يَا مَنْ لاَ تَشْتَبِهُ عَلَيْهِ ٱلاصْوَاتُ
O He for Whom sounds are never indistinct!
يَا مَنْ لاَ تُضْجِرُهُ ٱلْمَسْالاَتُ
O He Who never becomes annoyed at requests
وَلاَ تَغْشَاهُ ٱلظُّلُمَاتُ
nor covered by shadows!
يَا نُورَ ٱلارْضِ وَٱلسَّمَاوَاتِ
O Light of the earth and the heavens!
يَا سَاِبغَ ٱلنِّعَمِ
O Ample in blessings!
يَا دَافِعَ ٱلنِّقمِ
O Repeller of adversities!
يَا بَارِئَ ٱلنَّسَمِ
O Maker of the breaths of life!
يَا جَامِعَ ٱلامَمِ
O He Who gathers together the nations!
يَا شَافِي ٱلسَّقَمِ
O Healer of illnesses!
يَا خَاِلقَ ٱلنُّورِ وَٱلظُّلَمِ
O Creator of light and darkness!
يَا ذَا ٱلْجُودِ وَٱلْكَرَمِ
O Lord of munificence and generosity!
يَا مَنْ لاَ يَطَا عَرْشَهُ قَدَمٌ
O He upon Whose Throne no foot treads!
يَا اجْوَدَ ٱلاجْوَدِينَ
O Most Munificent of the most munificent!
يَا اكْرَمَ ٱلاكْرَمِينَ
O Most Generous of the most generous!
يَا اسْمَعَ ٱلسَّامِعِينَ
O Most Hearing of the hearers!
يَا ابْصَرَ ٱلنَّاظِرِينَ
O Most Seeing of the viewers!
يَا جَارَ ٱلْمُسْتَجِيرِينَ
O Protector of those who seek protection!
يَا امَانَ ٱلْخَائِفِينَ
O Sanctuary of the fearful!
يَا ظَهْرَ ٱللاَّجِينَ
O Asylum of the refugees!
يَا وَلِيَّ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
O Patron of the believers!
يَا غِيَاثَ ٱلْمَسْتَغِيثِينَ
O Helper of those who seeks aid!
يَا غَايَةَ ٱلطَّاِلبِينَ
O Goal of the seekers!
يَا صَاحِبَ كُلِّ غَرِيبٍ
O Companion of every stranger!
يَا مُؤْنِسَ كُلِّ وَحِيدٍ
O Intimate of everyone alone!
يَا مَلْجَا كُلِّ طَرِيدٍ
O Refuge of every outcast!
يَا مَاوَىٰ كُلِّ شَرِيدٍ
O Shelter of every wanderer!
يَا حَافِظَ كُلِّ ضَالَّةٍ
O Custodian of everyone astray!
يَا رَاحِمَ ٱلشَّيْخِ ٱلْكَبِيرِ
O He Who is merciful to old men!
يَا رَازِقَ ٱلطِّفْلِ ٱلصَّغِيرِ
O He Who provides for small infants!
يَا جَابِرَ ٱلْعَظْمِ ٱلْكَسِيرِ
O He Who sets broken bones!
يَا فَاكَّ كُلِّ اسِيرٍ
O He Who releases every prisoner!
يَا مُغْنِي ٱلْبَائِسِ ٱلْفَقِيرِ
O He Who enriches the miserable pauper!
يَا عِصْمَةَ ٱلْخَائِفِ ٱلْمُسْتَجِيرِ
O He Who safeguards the fearful seeker of protection!
يَا مَنْ لَهُ ٱلتَّدْبِيرُ وَٱلتَّقْدِيرُ
O He Who governs and determines!
يَا مَنِ ٱلْعَسِيرُ عَلَيْهِ سَهْلٌ يَسِيرٌ
O He for Whom the difficult is simple and easy!
يَا مَنْ لاَ يَحْتَاجُ إِلَىٰ تَفْسِيرٍ
O He Who never needs an explanation!
يَا مَنْ هُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
O He Who is powerful over everything!'
يَا مَنْ هُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَبِيرٌ
O He Who is aware of everything!
يَا مَنْ هُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ بَصِيرٌ
O He Who sees everything!
يَا مُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحِ
O Sender of the winds!
يَا فَاِلقَ ٱلإِصْبَاحِ
O Cleaver of the dawn!
يَا بَاعِثَ ٱلارْوَاحِ
O Dispatcher of the spirits!
يَا ذَا ٱلْجُودِ وَٱلسَّمَاحِ
O Lord of munificence and forbearance!
يَا مَنْ بِيَدِهِ كُلُّ مِفْتَاحٍ
O He in Whose Hand is every key!
يَا سَامِعَ كُلِّ صَوْتٍ
O He Who hears every sound!
يَا سَابِقَ كُلِّ فَوْتٍ
O He Who takes precedence over everything that passes away!
يَا مُحْيِي كُلِّ نَفْسٍ بَعْدَ ٱلْمَوْتِ
O He Who gives life to every soul after death!
يَا عُدَّتِي فِي شِدَّتِي
O my Provision in my hardship!
يَا حَافِظِي فِي غُرْبَتِي
O my Maintainer in my exile!
يَا مُؤْنِسِي فِي وَحْدَتِي
O my Intimate in my lonesomeness!
يَا وَلِيِّي فِي نِعْمَتِي
O my Sponsor in my blessings!
يَا كَهْفِي حِينَ تُعْيِينِيِ ٱلْمَذَاهِبُ
O my haven when the ways make me weary,
وَتُسْلِّمُنِي ٱلاقَارِبُ
when relatives give me up
وَيَخْذُلُنِي كُلُّ صَاحِبٍ
and when every companion forsakes me!
يَا عِمَادَ مَنْ لاَ عِمَادَ لَهُ
O Backing of him who has no backing!
يَا سَنَدَ مَنْ لاَ سَنَدَ لَهُ
O Support him who has no support!
يَا ذُخْرَ مَنْ لاَ ذُخْرَ لَهُ
O Store of him who has no store!
يَا حِرْزَ مَنْ لاَ حِرْزَ لَهُ
O Sanctuary of him who has no sanctuary!
يَا كَهْفَ مَنْ لاَ كَهْفَ لَهُ
O Cave of him who has no cave!
يَا كَنْزَ مَنْ لاَ كَنْزَ لَهُ
O Treasure of him who has no treasure!
يَا رُكْنَ مَنْ لاَ رُكْنَ لَهُ
O castle of him who has no castle!
يَا غِيَاثَ مَنْ لاَ غِيَاثَ لَهُ
O Help of him who has no help!
يَا جَارَ مَنْ لاَ جَارَ لَهُ
O backer of him who has no backer!
يَا جَارِي ٱللَّصِيقَ
O, my Adjacent Neighbor!
يَا رُكْنِي ٱلْوَثِيقَ
O my Sturdy Pillar!
يَا إِلٰهِي بَٱلتَّحْقِيقِ
O My God in truth!
يَا رَبَّ ٱلْبَيْتِ ٱلْعَتِيقِ
O Lord of the Ancient House!
يَا شَفِيقُ يَا رَفِيقُ
O All-affectionate! O Friend!
فُكَّنِي مِنْ حَلَقِ ٱلْمَضِيقِ
Deliver me from the chains of strictures,
وَٱصْرِفْ عَنِّي كُلَّ هَمٍّ وَغَمٍّ وَضِيقٍ
turn away from me every care, grief and distress,
وَٱكْفِنِي شَرَّ مَا لاَ اطِيقُ
protect me from the evil of that which I cannot bear,
وَاعِنِّي عَلَىٰ مَا اطِيقُ
and help me in that which I am able to bear!
يَا رَادَّ يُوسُفَ عَلَىٰ يَعْقُوبَ
O He Who returned Joseph to Jacob!
يَا كَاشِفَ ضُرَّ ايُّوبَ
O He Who removed the affliction of Job!
يَا غَافِرَ ذَنْبِ دَاوُودَ
O He Who forgave the sin of David!
يَا رَافِعَ عِيسَىٰ بْنِ مَرْيَمَ وَمُنجِيهِ مِنْ ايْدِي ٱلْيَهُودِ
O He Who caused Jesus, the son of Mary, to ascend and delivered him from the hands of the Jews!
يَا مُجِيبَ نِدَاءِ يُونُسَ فِي ٱلظُّلُمَاتِ
O He Who answered Jonah's call in the darkness!
يَا مُصْطُفِي مُوسَىٰ بِٱلْكَلِمَاتِ
O He Who chose Moses by spoken words!
يَا مَنْ غَفَرَ لآِدَمَ خَطِيئَتَهُ
O He Who forgave Adam his slip
وَرَفَعَ إِدْرِيسَ مَكَاناً عَلِيّاً بِرَحْمَتِهِ
and raised Idris to a high place through his mercy!
يَا مَنْ نَجَّىٰ نُوحاً مِنَ ٱلغَرَقِ
O He Who saved Noah from drowning!
يَا مَنْ اهْلَكَ عَاداً ٱلاولَىٰ
O He Who destroyed `ªd, the ancient,
وَثَمُودَ فَمَا ابْقَىٰ
and Thamud, and did not spare them,
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ
and the people of Noah before;
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا هُمْ اظْلَمَ وَاطْغَىٰ
certainly, they were most unjust and more rebellious,
وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ اهْوَىٰ
and al-Mu'tafikah, He also overthrew.
يَا مَنْ دَمَّرَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِ لُوطٍ
O He Who destroyed the people of Lot
وَدَمْدَمَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِ شُعَيْبٍ
and crushed the people of Shu`ayb!
يَا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلاً
O He Who took Abraham for a friend!
يَا مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ مُوسَىٰ كَلِيماً
O You Who took Moses for an object of His words,
وَٱتَّخَذَ مُحَمَّداً صَلَّىٰ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَعَلَيْهِمْ اجْمَعِينَ حَبِيباً
and took Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household, for a beloved!
يَا مُؤْتِي لُقْمَانَ ٱلْحِكْمَةَ
O He Who gave Luqman wisdom,
وَٱلْوَاهِبَ لِسُلَيْمَانَ مُلْكاً
and bestowed upon Solomon a kingdom
لاَ يَنْبَغِي لاحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ
such as may not befit anyone after him!
يَا مَنْ نَصَرَ ذَا ٱلْقَرْنَيْنِ عَلىٰ ٱلْمُلُوكِ ٱلْجَبَابِرَةِ
O He Who gave Dhul-Qarnayn victory over the tyrannical kings!
يَا مَنْ اعْطَىٰ ٱلْخِضْرَ ٱلْحَيَاةَ
O He Who gave al-Khadir (eternal) life
وَرَدَّ لِيُوشَعَ بْنِ نُونٍ ٱلشَّمْسَ بَعْدَ غُرُوبِهَا
and returned the sun to Joshua, the son of Nun, after its setting!
يَا مَنْ رَبَطَ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِ امِّ مُوسَىٰ
O He Who strengthened the heart of Moses' mother,
وَاحْصَنَ فَرْجَ مَرْيَمَ ٱبْنَةِ عِمْرَانَ
and guarded the virginity of Mary, the daughter of `Imran!
يَا مَنْ حَصَّنَ يَحْيَىٰ بْنَ زَكَرِيَّا مِنَ ٱلذَّنْبِ
O He Who fortified John, the son of Zachariah, against sins
وَسَكَّنَ عَنْ مُوسَىٰ ٱلْغَضَبَ
and calmed the anger of Moses!
يَا مَنْ بَشَّرَ زَكَرِيَا بِيَحْيَىٰ
O He Who gave Zachariah the good news of the birth of John!
يَا مَنْ فَدَىٰ إِسْمَاعِيلَ مِنَ ٱلذَّبْحِ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ
O He Who ransomed Ishmael from the sacrifice with a mighty sacrifice!
يَا مَنْ قَبِلَ قُرْبَانَ هَابِيلَ
O He Who accepted the sacrifice of Abel
وَجَعَلَ ٱللَّعْنَةَ عَلَىٰ قَابِيلَ
and placed a curse upon Cain!
يَا هَازِمَ ٱلاحْزَابَ لِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
O He Who routed the parties for Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household!
صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
(please do) Bless Muhammad, the household of Muhammad,
وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ وَمَلائِكَتِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ
all the messengers, Your archangels,
وَاهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ اجْمَعِينَ
and all those who obey You!
وَاسْالُكَ بِكُلِّ مَسْالَةٍ سَالَكَ بِهَا احَدٌ
I beseech You the supplication of everyone who has besought you
مِمَنْ رَضِيتَ عَنْهُ فَحَتَمْتَ لَهُ عَلىٰ ٱلإِجَابَةِ
and with whom You have been pleased and thus decided to grant his request.
يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ يَا اَللَّهُ
O Allah! O Allah! O Allah!
يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ يَا رَحْمٰنُ
O All-merciful! O All-merciful! O All-merciful!
يَا رَحِيمُ يَا رَحِيمُ يَا رَحِيمُ
O All-compassionate! O All-compassionate! O All-compassionate!
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَ لِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
O Lord of majesty and honor!
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَ لِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
O Lord of majesty and honor!
يَا ذَا ٱلْجَلاَلِ وَٱلإِكْرَامِ
O Lord of majesty and ho
nor!
بِهِ بِهِ بِهِ بِهِ بِهِ بِهِ بِهِ
By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him!
اسْالُكَ بِكُلِّ ٱسْمٍ سَمَّيْتَ بِهِ نَفْسَكَ
I beseech You by every Name with which You have named Yourself
اوْ انْزَلْتَهُ فِي شَيْءٍ مِنْ كُتُبِكَ
or which You have sent down in one of Your scriptures
اوِ ٱسْتَاثَرْتَ بِهِ فِي عِلْمِ ٱلْغَيْبِ ٱلَّذِي عِنْدَكَ
or kept for Yourself in the knowledge of the Unseen with You,
وَبِمَعَاِقدِ ٱلْعِزِّ مِنْ عَرْشِكَ
by the junctures of might for Your Throne,
وَبِمُنْتَهَىٰ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ مِنْ كِتَابِكَ
by the utmost limit of mercy from Your Book,
وَبِمَا ﴿وَلَوْ انّ َمَا فِي ٱلارْضِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ اقْلاَمٌ
by the fact that “though all the trees in the earth were pens
وَٱلْبَحْرُ يَمُدُّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ سَبْعَةُ ابْحُرٍ
and the sea - seven seas after it to replenish it,
مَا نَفِدَتْ كَلِمَاتُ ٱللَّهِ
yet the words of Allah not be spent.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ حَكِيمٌ﴾
Allah is All-mighty, All-wise.”
وَاسْالُكَ بِاسْمَائِكَ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ
And I beseech You by Your Most Excellent Names
ٱلَّتِي نَعَتَّهَا فِي كِتَابِكَ فَقُلْتَ:
that You have described in Your book thus saying,
﴿وَلِلَّهِ ٱلاسْمَاءُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ فَٱدْعُوهُ بِهَا﴾
“To Allah belong the Most Excellent Names, so call Him by them!”
وَقُلْتَ: ﴿ادْعُونِي اسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ﴾
And You said: “Call upon Me and I will answer you.”
وَقُلْتَ: ﴿وَإِذَا سَالَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ
And You said: “And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near;
اجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِي إِذَا دَعَانِي﴾
I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me.”
وَقُلْتَ: ﴿قُلْ يَا عِبَادِي ٱلَّذِينَ اسْرَفُوا عَلَىٰ انْفُسِهِمْ
And You said: “Say: O My servants who have been prodigal against yourselves;
لاَ تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ
do not despair of Allah's mercy.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعاً
Surely, Allah forgives all sins.
إِنَّهُ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ﴾
Surely, He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate.”
وَانَا اسْالُكَ يَا إِلٰهِي
And I ask You, O my God,
وَادْعُوكَ يَا رَبِّ
I call You, O my Lord,
وَارْجَوكَ يَا سَيِّدِي
I please You, O my Master,
وَاطْمَعُ فِي إِجَابَتِي يَا مَوْلايَ كَمَا وَعَدتَّنِي
and I desire for You to respond to me, O my Protector, just as You have promised me—
وَقَدْ دَعَوْتُكَ كَمَا امَرْتَنِي
for I have called You just as You have commanded me.
فَٱفْعَلْ بِي مَا انتَ اهْلُهُ يَا كَرِيمُ
So, do to me what is worthy of You, O All-generous!
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.
وَصَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ اجْمَعِينَ
